SOMEWHERE UNDER THE RADAR WITH JACK STRAW : SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW WITH MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS MALCOLM RIFKIND

In the last few days the antics of these well-known Members of Parliament have featured prominently in the news media because both were secretly filmed offering their services for money on the strength of their political careers and personal political contacts, their conduct being then aired on television. It was not simply a matter of what they said they could do for an overseas private company but what influence they boasted they could bring to bear for a payment of a tidy sum of cash on a daily basis. In the case of Jack Straw five grand a day and with Sir Malcolm between five and eight thousand depending! Nice work if you can get it!

It was not simply a matter of offering their services for money, openly stating what they could do and how best they could do it but equally important, when later confronted by journalists about their conduct, true as victims of a set-up, their attempt to justify their behaviour as wholly innocent and within the law. And certainly worse still, in the case of Malcolm Rifkind his extraordinarily rude and arrogant behaviour towards reporters.

Both secretly recorded interviews have already gone down in legend and both for equally delicious but different reasons as a brilliant journalistic exposure of the damnably greedy conduct of two out of a large number of British Parliamentarians later claimed to be as many as two hundred! Let’s take Jack and Sir Malcolm in turn so we can enjoy the antics of both to the full and truly shameless antics they are!

Labour’s Jack had a long political career as Foreign Secretary, Home Secretary and Leader of the House of Commons. While Tony Blair’s boy in the Foreign Office he became known as Iranian Jack, alternatively Ayatollah Straw, for his many trips to that country and open friendliness towards the Iranian Holocaust Denying Regime, at the time said by many to be the world’s main international sponsor of terrorism. Later at the Home Office he attempted to outdo the reactionary policies of Michael Howard a Tory predecessor at the political helm of the criminal justice system with his tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime views. Later still he became Secretary of State for Justice. Perhaps with such legal experience in mind he not so long ago in a well publicised interview condemned as stupid those politicians who allowed themselves to fall into the trap of being secretly being set up in interviews where they volunteered to take money in payment for asking questions in Parliament. This was at the time of the huge cash for questions scandal that made the news big time not long ago. Yes, said Straw, such Members of Parliament were stupid… deserved all they opprobrium they got.

With that in mind let’s take a look at what Wise Man Jack said in his own little interview. Leaning back in his armchair and presenting himself suave and relaxed in his House of Commons private room Jack immediately made it clear that he was shortly retiring from life as an MP but that there was a strong possibility that he would go to the House of Lords where he could continue to lend his extensive experience to political matters as he had already done previously in the Commons. Wise, experienced man that he was, he let them know that it was always best to do such private work for business interests under the radar as it were and had done such work in the past which had been very beneficial for a company local to the Blackburn area which he represented as MP.

A quite wonderful choice of words by Jack… under the radar. The kind of work he’s done in the House of Commons before. Very privately. Secretly. Without anyone knowing he was asking questions or making enquiries on behalf of some commercial interest for cash. Because that’s what the phrase actually means. Secretly! Confidentially… without anyone knowing he was acting on behalf of a third party’s for his own financial benefit! The big question is whether such conduct is actually legal because if it was why would he use such a phrase to describe it, and so openly, giving the person with whom he was engaged in discussing his services that it was potentially dodgy. And that for doing that sort of thing he was asking five thousand a day, his going rate! Earlier, referring to his previous services, he mentioned work he’d done in the food industry, assisting a processing company in the Ukraine and conveying a most positive impression of competence. A man with extensive political experience able to provide a whole number of services.

In the interview Jack Straw makes it clear exactly what he is selling. It’s not just a matter of his personal political experience, in other words his reputation, but what that reputation allows him to do in the political sphere to further their interest commercially. That’s what they’re paying him for. To put it crudely, for using his political experience and contacts to make them a buck. In addition he added, he could provide an additional personal benefit. When the head of their company came over from China he’d be able to give him a personal tour of the House of Commons. And with this simply tantalizing offer of such personal largesse, demonstrating all the influence he had, the eminent Jack Straw took his leave!

Further to all the publicity the man came out fighting. He’d done nothing wrong whatsoever he said repeatedly in interviews, using all that standard political phraseology to justify being caught with his pants down. Nothing wrong whatsoever! He might have put this or that differently but he’d done nothing at all in offering his services. As he’d said, any work that he’d have done would have waited till he’d retired from the House of Commons. Alas, others saw it differently. Within 24 hours he’d been suspended from the Parliamentary Labour Party, the reasons only too clear enough. With public memory of the only too recent dirty big stink of the Parliamentary Expenses Scandal, Jack Straw being caught doing something smelling equally bad was plain unacceptable. With a General Election only weeks away something that Ed Miliband and Labour viewed as intolerable. Something so damaging to Labour that despite Straw’s suave protestation of conduct was tantamount to pissing in the face of the public. Something not only arrogant but also obscene. So it was hit the road Jack… and hopefully no reward for his highly questionable political career of being rewarded to entry into the House of Lords.

For Malcolm Rifkind what was revealed in the interview was breathtakingly delicious. He came over as a man who despite his various political duties was someone with a great deal of time on his hands to do the kind of private political consultancy work being offered. Yes, despite doing a lot of reading and a lot of walking he definitely had time on his hands. He really wasn’t tied down by too many personal activities. Wasn’t tied down by too many things. He didn’t earn a salary. Was independent of any regular commercial interests and his various political roles didn’t take up too much of his time. In short he was free to act in their interest! His fee? Well between five and eight thousand a day depending on what he did!

Seeing him on tape here was a man who was utterly blasé. No question at all in his mind that he might be doing anything that was in any way wrong. Because of his extensive political career during which he’d served as Foreign Secretary he knew many people. He could get them an introduction to many Ambassadors! And at the end the same demonstration of his influence and largesse. Likewise the offer of a personal tour round the House of Commons! Now just think of it for a moment. A former British Foreign Secretary promising them his own personal tour of the Commons. Just think of the impact it might make on one of these business types from China! A real taste of oak paneled British Democracy! Well whoopy fucking do! How terribly important, how terribly impressive was that! And meanwhile some newspaper journalists, thank heavens for our free press, are setting Mr Greedy up for a sting!

When the journalists came clean in the street Malcolm Rifkind came out more than fighting. Not quite that he’d sue them and do them in best Essex style but close. He’d done nothing wrong. Had absolutely nothing to apologise for. He was using his experience as he thought to promote important British trade with China. An entirely legitimate commercial activity. In fact it was their conduct that was deceitful.

Later when it was pointed out to him that he was employed and did earn a salary as an MP he excused it all as a slip of the tongue. He’d done nothing wrong. His position as Chairman of the important House of Commons Intelligence and Security Committee and all the secrets he held were in no way compromised. The interview was entirely unconnected with his Parliamentary role and duties as an MP. His manner with the journalists was at best brusque verging on arrogant. He saw no reason whatsoever to resign from any of the posts that he held. He was consulting various persons in connection with the disgraceful behaviour of the journalists and implicit in his remarks were threats of legal action.

Alas! Poor Malcolm! Others at the head of the Conservative Party saw things differently. Viewed his  uncompromising defence at being caught with his pants down in public with an eye on how it might seem to the British electorate so close to the big election in May. In a word they saw it in purely political terms. As a ghastly attempt at self-justification and in consequence totally unacceptable. Indeed politically unpardonable. The man had to go. On the same day as Straw was suspended from the Labour Party, Rifkind got the boot from the Tories.

Alas, much worse was to follow! Early morning just a day later poor Malcolm was stripped from his Chairman’s Role of the Intelligence and Security Committee and forced to resign from his safe Parliamentary seat at Chelsea and Kensington. Of course, he wasn’t pushed! Joke-joke! To journalists interviewing him in the street he still managed his famous Rifkind watermelon smile. But that only came later after a seriously bruising early encounter with a hapless journalist who only asked whether he was resigning. Here the man once again showed his true colors in public, in a brief short sentence as seriously damaging to the Conservative Party as the only few days past HSBC and Inland Revenue Taxation Scandals…

mind your own business… Rifkind rasped out before hurrying on. It was a fair question from a journalist. A matter of public interest with a journalist doing his job. One of public responsibility that he’s paid to do. And what he got was a piece of pure arrogance. An arrogant and contemptuous politician who’s been found out. Gloves off and go fuck yourself.

Mind your own business! Well actually Mr Rifkind what you and other MPs do IS the business of the public. The electorate that votes for any of you anywhere. What you politicians do is our business. And in case you didn’t know it it’s called democracy. Fragile as it is and as fragile as people like you make it. We have a right to know and a right to hold you in check and accountable. And it’s something the British people have worked so long and hard for. That’s why you’re out on your arse Sir Malcolm along with Jack Straw.

After your last exposure of political arrogance you can both kiss the peerage goodbye. No political soft landing for either of you. That’s what you get for taking the piss out of the public and thinking you could do it in secret. No matter how high you rose in politics you were still public servants. Such a shame that you came to think that you were better than everyone else!

SPIDER IN THE WEB… A BRIEF WORD ABOUT THE INLAND REVENUE

In the last week we’ve all heard a lot about the operations of HSBC, that’s the Hong Kong and Shanghai  Banking Corporation, who’ve been running their own very private little outfit in Switzerland. You know the place. All those mountains and lakes and full of nice views. But don’t let it kid you! The country also makes cheese and cuckoo clocks, those pretty little chalet style boxes where a bird keeps popping out and making a noise. And of course it’s a place where rich people go skiing. But don’t let that kid you either. It makes its real money out of secrecy, banks where seriously rich people from dictators to mobsters and billionaire business tycoons store all the loot they’ve made one way or another without anyone knowing it. Secrecy is everything so no-one asks any questions in Switzerland! The money, precious metals or gems are all there hidden away on behalf of its owners without anyone else ever being able to get their hands on it. Hidden away and immune from any taxation. In other words it’s a country that stores the loot made out of everyone else on the planet including the tax payers themselves.

There’s nothing that it’s banking system turns down. You name it and they’ll hide it away. Anything from  Nazi gold bars made out of Jew’s teeth yanked out of the living or dead in the death camps to drugs cartel laundry… from money donated to African nations for the wellbeing of their people stolen by the thugs that run them to blood diamonds. I mean, when we’re talking Swiss banks we’re not talking about you and your wife’s current account! That kind of thing’s for the birds. Sure they’ve got a few here and there but the really serious stuff is quite a bit different. Altogether more private. The outfit HSBC ran there for years was known to only its clients along with the four big accounting firms that handle the taxes of most of the world’s major businesses and corporations. It’s where they channel much of the money they make, keeping it away from Governments so that it can’t be taxed and used to help feed, clothe and house poor people.  After all, fair’s fair! Why should they be supported by the efforts of a few thousand clever dicks having a serious slice of their hard earned dosh go in taxes to pay for all the saps who worked to make them their money?

So in Switzerland there’s this oh so very private HSBC operation with tens of thousands of accounts storing thousands of billions of untaxable loot. Courtesy of the smart accountants and lawyers who make sure it’s all stashed there anonymously. And all of us never knew a blind thing about such a trick until recently when information from a whistleblowers list suddenly became public. Not that the list itself had been secret. Oh no, it had been in the public domain since 2007 but kind of hidden under the radar if you know what I mean until the BBC got hold of it and put it up on the news. Then all hell broke loose. It seemed that all kinds of people knew about it from the Treasury, that’s the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s Department of Government, to the civil servants who run Britain’s tax affairs, our very own Inland Revenue. Yes, they knew all about HSBC’s little wealth storage system but kind of didn’t say anything! They knew that hundreds of billions were kept away from lawful taxation but didn’t feel obliged to do anything or actually tell anyone! Now how do you like that?

Well, we all know now, thanks to the efforts of that great Parliamentary institution, that people’s watchdog with a vengeance chaired by that remarkably earnest and honest Parliamentarian Margaret Hodge, that this little collection of civil servants known for better or worse as THE INLAND REVENUE made a number of special private deals and arrangements with multinationals like bankers Goldman Sachs and telecom giant Vodafone to help them avoid paying the full amount in lawful taxation on the profit they earned. Yes, these little deals between civil servants responsible for collecting taxes used by our Government to pay for the welfare of the poor and unemployed, taxes that once helped students pay for their studies and paid for so much other Government expenditure... were all kept very secret and private and eventually, thanks to the investigations of the Public Accounts Committee were revealed as, wait for it, SWEETHEART DEALS. An extraordinary name for the quite extraordinary activity of civil servants conspiring to prevent lawful taxation for the benefit of millions of British citizens. The secrecy of this activity along with its character actually makes it quite conspiratorial.

Consider if you will certain other activities of our Inland Revenue, particularly members of its Executive. It is already well known that some hold senior positions even directorships in companies operating in overseas tax havens and give advice, for a fee of course, to their clients about depositing their earnings in such havens so as to best spread their tax liability. The fee is important of course! Why, do you think these so called public servants, employed by the Government and the taxpayer who pay them a wage, would hand out their specialist knowledge and wisdom to big business free of charge? Don’t be ridiculous! I mean, what planet were you born on! Do you think that these people have been organising SWEETHEART DEALS for multinationals for a packet of popcorn?

No, the Inland Revenue sits at the center of a vast web. Around it are multinational corporations and the firms of accountants and lawyers who work for them, then there’s the Treasury and senior members of Government like Tory Chancellor George Osborne and his Liberal Democrat Deputy Danny Alexander. But that’s only a part of it really. There are the banks and other major financial institutions along with the offshore and overseas tax havens, then there are certain very private very wealthy individuals best described as the billionaires’ club. These are a very different species of being, for taxation purposes you understand, to the many hundreds of thousands of small businessmen, self-employed people from taxi drivers to those who work in the building trade. And finally, tens of millions of plain ordinary workers from public servants like teachers, NHS staff, policemen and firemen to shop workers and council employees. This last group forms the vast bulk of taxpayers in this country and can all be bundled up neatly in a box with the label on it, Pay As You Earn, PAYE for short. Tax is deducted from these millions of people at source according to strict well defined criteria with no room possible for such things as expenses.   

Numerically the largest body in the web liable for predetermined categories of taxation are the wage earners whose deductions are entirely predetermined by law and regulated by the Inland Revenue. Thus the vast bulk of the income earning population have no power whatsoever to challenge this deduction made from their labour. As a collection of millions they sit in the web like passive flies caught up in a system and ready to be stung by the spider that’s only doing its duty by law no less and passive is the very best way to describe them. A passive though often unwilling prey that has no alternative but to participate in its own feast. That of being part eaten alive on a regular monthly basis!

The same cannot be said of our billionaire businessmen and multinational corporations! For these, although they sit in the web they have evolved highly protective devices and mechanisms which dilute if not entirely nullify the capacity of the Inland Revenue to feed off them. For example they are able to register their businesses overseas where taxation is very considerably lower than in the UK and with this safety mechanism in mind are able to negotiate their tax liability with the collection spider! Actually negotiate it to the potentially mutual benefit of both. The Inland Revenue excuses them of the bulk of their liability from corporate earnings if they volunteer to pay some small percentage of the money actually owed. This as we now know is called a SWEETHEART DEAL with its actual operation in specific cases supposedly kept secret from Government, but then actually who knows how true this is?

Such deals are made possible because the very wealthy along with big business have both the facility to make alternative arrangement for where they financially operate or have the means to employ expert assistance and knowledge to help them circumvent localized legal systems and internationalize their responsibilities and duties.

Now just imagine a situation where you as a PAYE fly in the web contact the spider and ask if it’s possible for her to fix you up with your very own sweetheart deal. I mean just you and her. She won’t have to tell anybody! It’ll just be private between you! Well now, just you think of what she might do. Do you think it might be an invitation into her boudoir or would she take a serious bite out of your arse? Sorry my friend, sweetheart deals are only for rich old daddy corporations not cheapos like you! They’re for multinational executives and their shareholders, not for common and garden NHS workers or plasterers and decorators, even if they do hail from lovely Essex! No it’s all very clear and you’d better get your head round the fact. Where the Inland Revenue is concerned there are rules laid down for working people whatever they like to call themselves and a well laid down system of permissiveness for the wealthy, and if you want to play kiss-kiss with the spider then you’ll need protection, unless that is you want a serious dose of the nasties!

For the rich and the multinationals there are always the accountants and lawyers ready to give them a jab of immunity and the spider in the web knows it. Her powers are muted. She can’t pox them up anymore so she’d best cut a deal! The PAYE masses don’t have that kind of muscle. Don’t have HSBC working for them in sunny Switzerland! But then hands up all of you who think that David Cameron and his Tory Government didn’t know anything at all about HSBC? And hands up all those of you who think that his Treasury told their civil service employees in the Revenue to keep quiet because sooner or later the smell would vanish out of the news.

The Inland Revenue sits at the center of the spider’s web with its legs all touchy and feely across the silk thread. It has various deals going with stuff on the periphery, a live and let live policy of arrangements with powerful friends who’ve also got friends. For the rest, that’s you and me bro, we’re just there for the lady’s regular feeding. She lets us live so she can suck on our blood.

However let me introduce my own Manifesto. Comrades, flies of all countries unite. Band together to avoid paying our taxes. Our unity is in our strength. We are Many and the Inland Revenue is One. Let all of us on PAYE suddenly demand a million exemptions. Let us unite together and drown them in demands. Download a million requests onto their system. Overload it, watch it jam up and then perish. Then we can take all our savings from tax and invest it in HSBC. Become its majority shareholder from the strength of our own new People’s Multinational Corporation.

Let our slogan be… PAYE TAXPAYERS OF ALL COUNTRIES UNITE! WE CAN BLOW THE REVENUE SPIDER OUT OF ITS WEB! WE HAVE A WORLD TO WIN!

And Margaret Hodge, as Chairman of the People’s Committee of ordinary PAYE taxpayers, may I invite you, as leader of our future 30 million strong army in Britain, to march at our head and carry our banner!

ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISM AND THE NINETY-NINE POINT NINE-NINERS-NINERS

The figure in the title refers to the one put forward by apologists for Islamic extremism who say that the vast majority, ninety-nine point nine, nine percent of those who practice the Muslim faith are entirely peace loving and that only tiny minority support extremist views and Islamic terrorism. These apologists are to be found just about everywhere in Western society ranging from those in the legal profession busily engaged in defending perpetrators of vile acts of terrorist murder from shooting and beheading innocent civilians along with the many young Muslims who willingly go abroad to be trained for such purposes, to deeply misguided politicians among whose number are academics who can’t apologize quickly enough for being white, Western and liberal thinking. Many of these misguided, tragically naïve individuals are frequently heard mouthing their guff on BBC television which provides them with excellent opportunity for justifying their views alongside spewing out vile propaganda for those they defend, often of the anti-Israel variety which is actually shorthand for anti-Semitism so beloved of the Corporation itself.

If it all sounds like manna from heaven to some, it’s peculiar and sickening to others and in this respect these apologists remind me of fanatics of another kind, namely people who are blindly committed to defending police conduct and practice which is often illegal or semi-legal at best. For those who defend all aspects of the Muslim faith and its adherents, those who perpetrate acts of barbarity are only the tiniest of tiny percentages, best described by that well known phrase, the one rotten apple. What this actually refers to is one rotten apple in a barrel and its meaning, significantly, is that it only takes one rotten apple to infect and damage all the rest. Colloquially however this original meaning has changed and the phrase is now widely used to refer to only one bad or corrupt thing out of many so that in terms of police behaviour and conduct let us say, it is only one corrupt or badly behaved policeman who spoils the good reputation of all the rest! The one rotten apple… In short, most policemen are great and their conduct beyond reproach except for that rare and solitary example of rottenness spoiling the reputation of all the others!      

As far as police conduct is concerned it’s become quite a well-known and famous justification so eagerly seized on by apologists for a simply staggering tranche of appalling behaviour in recent decades. Similarly the same phrase has become open to misuse by those who either defend indefensible Islamic terrorism or vile behaviour in the name of the Muslim faith i.e. that these killers are just solitary plain rotten apples in an utterly peace-loving religion practiced by 99.999% of its peace-loving adherents.

Considering the police for a moment such indefensible conduct in the last four decades includes gross physical assault on detained suspects such as the Birmingham Six and Guildford Four, false imprisonment, repeatedly lying in court under oath, endlessly tampering with witness statements and evidence, improper sexual activity, the illegal detention of children, killing innocent civilians in public or police custody, failing to adequately investigate cases of murder or violence such as that of the Stephen Lawrence affair subsequent to which they were branded as institutionally racist, refusing to investigate endless complaints of child abuse… and of course the planting of false evidence! The list of illegal conduct is endless yet there are millions of people in our society who it is stated, mostly by police organisations themselves, have absolute faith in their conduct! Whether this is actually true or not is another matter but during this time when their behaviour has been open to much wider scrutiny, the one rotten apple mode of justification for abuse has worn somewhat thin and these days goes with a nudge, nudge, wink, wink, kind of expression. In plain terms far fewer people believe it anymore. Nonetheless, there are many in our society who believe that the police in general are good as gold and won’t be dissuaded from that opinion. They’ll stick to it no  matter what, almost as if their lives depended on it and remain committed to defending an indefensible view. For them the conduct of most policemen or women is and has always been perfect and above reproach… except of course for that one rotten apple!

In similar fashion it’s the same when considering the situation of the Muslim community living in Britain or throughout Western Europe and the rest of the world. That the vast majority are entirely peace-loving is a fact determined by their faith and that those who do wrong things that make the media headlines are the one rotten apple who have a warped view of the faith. Well let’s take a look at the situation for a moment…

Of the five million or so members of the Muslim community living in Britain…

… how many have condemned the horrific murder of soldier Lee Rigby by Muslim extremists on a London street not long ago, expressing their anger and outrage in public?

… how many have publically expressed their moral indignation and wholeheartedly condemned the brutal sexual assaults committed by Pakistani adults and youths on underage white girls in cities throughout the United Kingdom such as Oxford and Rotherham?

… how many have condemned British Muslim youths who’ve travelled to the Middle East for terrorist training and committed vile acts of murder there including public beheading?

… how many have openly condemned the recent mass beheading of 40 Coptic Christians in Libya by the fundamentalists of their own faith?

… how many of our British Muslim community came out and condemned the recent murders of journalists and Jews in Paris by French Islamic terrorists, or in Belgium not so long ago and even more recently in Denmark?

In fact how many of this large community of Muslims living in Britain do we see openly condemning the indefensible behaviour of their co-religionists that is so deeply hostile to British values… much as British people would take to the streets and demonstrate on their behalf against attacks on them and their faith by the British National Party or English Defense League? Pardon me for asking but I don’t see any reciprocity here!

What I do see are British people acting as apologists for indefensible conduct by Muslims while the vast majority of Muslims themselves do little to nothing to condemn beheadings, floggings, judicial execution by stoning and the refusal in so many Muslim countries to allow women to be educated or participate in politics. Even allow them  to vote. All we hear from the vast majority of Muslims living in Britain is a deafening silence. Yet it’s nothing to the silence we hear from the wretched apologists who fail utterly to condemn the anti-democratic practices and medieval values that dominate daily life throughout so much of the Muslim world… Societies that deny freedom of religious worship on pain of death… deny a free press… deny freedom of expression… deny women the right of political expression… have no toleration for multi-party politics… Deny so much of what we in the Western world take for granted as our natural right.

But then so much of the Muslim world is so very different to our own. Ours is a world of industrial production and manufacturing, a world of work and workers, of trades unions, of large scale commercial and business enterprise, of political and civil society, of a mass media and free expression. Theirs is a world dominated by autocratic or military rule, one without any large scale industrial production, a world dominated by small trade, one without any mechanism for financial investment but above all a world where the process of education and learning is dominated by religious thought and practice from school all the way up to university rather than any serious consideration of science.

Muslim society, from Pakistan to Indonesia, from Saudi Arabia to Algeria, Iraq and Iran is so very different to our own whether it be in terms of economy, politics, social structure and organisation, culture, education, religion or values. In our Western society women are regarded as equal to men and have full equal rights. In Muslim society such notions are regarded as abhorrent by the vast majority of their male population.

These are some of the differences but there are many more. How difficult it must be then for so many Muslim immigrants coming to live in Western Europe to have any tolerance for our values when those that had shaped their lives elsewhere are so very different to ours. When there is so little insistence by our politicians, so generous in allowing them entry, that they integrate into the culture and way of life of the countries they come to rather than remain locked into their own tight knit native communities, separate and isolated from mainstream British life and culture and ultimately demanding more privilege for their own. Yes, that’s right, more privilege and ultimately remaining steadfastly bound to the ties of the medieval faith of the places they came from. A demanding, sullen and separated community whose children, clinging to the alien family faith that nurtured them, grow into anger filled isolates alienated from a wider society and only intent on destruction. In main this youth can only look inward to religion and resentment because no attempt was ever made to turn their minds outwards to other faiths, ideologies and views… to socialism, to science, to politics, to the big wide Western world out there so full of interest, opportunity and imagination.

Instead, pullulating with anger, this Muslim youth festers in fury. They’re not a tiny minority anywhere anymore and have nothing but contempt for the wretched apologists who rush to defend them. They’re so fearful of looking outwards to the wider society that they desperately cling to their own narrow faith because, in truth,  that’s all they have to hold onto, only it’s the kind of creed that makes anything else impermissible… Indeed, any vehicle that fosters freedom of any kind, ideas of any kind, must be destroyed. Hence their hatred of freedom of expression, freedom of discussion along with their hatred of humor, and particularly cartoons lampooning their prophet. Where a faith is above criticism all else is blasphemy! To these sinister jerk off jihadis all freedom of thought is an abomination! In this sense beheading is symbolic. It is the severing of other people’s freedom of thought.

It is quite untrue to say that such youths have become radicalized and that their vile conduct is a distortion of the beliefs and values of the Muslim faith. On the contrary their anti-Semitism among other things is central to it as is their total intolerance of all other views. The free thinking Jew then becomes doubly a blasphemy and valid target for attack. Thus for Muslim youth, with their parents and families living within the ambit of Western society and its dangerous values, on the cusp of integration as they undoubtedly see it, it is incumbent upon them to take up the flag. For the old ways and for the faith. They are not being radicalized away from the faith but taking up the commitment and banner of unconditional loyalty! This is what all the apologists and defenders of Islam utterly fail to understand. Islam is not a peace-loving faith. It is a faith at war with all others and a failure to acknowledge this simple truth is fatal for the stability of Western society.

There is no such thing as a 99.999% peace-loving majority. It’s a delusion put out by politicians desperate to achieve some form of coexistence, well understood by the veritable legion of rage boys out there all hot to grab hold of the apple cart and tip it into the gutter with jihad, beheadings and any other terror outrage they can lay their skinny mitts on.

Israel is the Jewish State, created after the recent mass murder of the Jewish people. So if you hate Israel you also hate Jews, actually, along with everyone else! But then not to worry! Many of your Western liberal minded apologists also hate Israel and also hate Jews and actually it’s good to have friends, people who’ll apologize for your delusions and violent intentions no matter what.

GERMANS RETURN TO THE UKRAINE

It wasn’t so far back that Germany was busily engaged in the Ukraine. They were there in force in 1941, the German army, Nazi SS Divisions and murder squads once having invaded the territory, became fully committed to the mass murder of endless numbers of civilians, captured Soviet soldiers and as many Jews as they could get their hands on. Prompted by Nazi policy back in Berlin their conduct was aided and abetted by gangs of Ukrainian nationalist thugs led by Ukrainian Nazi collaborator Stepan Bendara. At the time many of these people willingly joined the SS and volunteered to work as guards at Concentration and Death Camps scattered throughout nearby Poland where they readily engaged in appalling brutality and atrocities against millions of victims. They were, indeed, an  integral part of the mechanized mass murder process that killed six million Jews.

After the defeat of the Nazis in the Ukraine by the Soviet armies between 1943 and 1945 many of them simply disappeared, blending back into the landscape. Recently however Nazi collaborators returned to prominence, playing a key role in the Ukrainian nationalist takeover in Kiev. In fact it was Ukrainian Neo-Nazi parties comprised of large numbers of well-armed thugs, political descendants of the old wartime collaborators that did the business of putting a new anti-Russian regime in place in Kiev backed up by support from the American State Department and the Government of Poland both of which helped supply them with arms.

Angela Merkel’s Germany, while not directly involved in the nationalist coup in Kiev, played what may best be described as a waiting game. The Germans have always had an interest in the territory but having committed shameful atrocities there not long ago and been comprehensively booted out and defeated by Moscow had thought it best to return from the sidelines, this time as so called peacemakers from the European Union along with France. So German Chancellor Angela Merkel turns up in Moscow alongside President Hollande and together put a peace plan to Putin which they’d worked out in Kiev in company with John Kerry, the most warlike and threatening Secretary of State of any American Administration for the last fifty years together with Ukraine’s current President, chocolate manufacturer Poroshenko.

And there she sat in Moscow, the German Chancellor, making demands on the Russians on behalf of the United States and their mutual military arm in Europe, NATO. Remember what the abbreviation stands for! North Atlantic Treaty Organisation… Yet the Ukraine along with Poland, the Balkan States and Turkey are thousands of miles away from the North Atlantic! What all of it actually means is the United States putting troops on the ground along with serious military hardware on territory bordering Russia. With the Administration of erstwhile liberal Barak Obama leading the way with intimidation and threat, the Germans had returned to the Ukraine as surrogates. They took the territory before but couldn’t hold it. Now in their new guise as nice guys they’re offering the Russians peace plans! No need to look over any shoulder this time when you’ve got a knife in your pocket for the old enemy.

But then it’s only Russia, not Greece! So how did Germany get itself into such a delightfully moral position of being able to put peace plans to Moscow with NATO menaces and putting itself forward as guardians of economic sobriety to Greece. Where the latter’s concerned the answer’s fairly straightforward. Greece, as a nation of easy-come easy-go sun loving funsters who make nothing and do nothing had to put themselves at the mercy of a gang of loan-sharks with the morality of weasels and when the money ran out adopted an attitude of no intention to pay. Alas, they’re quickly learning that the other side in the game has got very sharp teeth. Similarly, if Putin thought that the dumpy lady who sat down with him at a flower bowl table had only got a tourist trip of the Kremlin in mind then comrade watch out! She’s a surrogate for a new kind of fascist. One buried not so deep in the State Department in Washington with its table top spokesman in so called liberal hell-boy Barak Obama.

 

BENEFIT SCROUNGERS!

They make the headlines on a regular basis. Especially in lower middle class anger rags like the Daily Mail and Daily Express. It’s those contemptible benefit scroungers again! Yes they’re always there on the front page one way or another. You know the type! The underclass creep with 18 kids and his scrawny wife claiming and getting seventy thousand a year on benefits and not even doing a day’s work for it either. Just waiting for the postie to bring in that cheque every week so he can leg it down to the boozer. And as for that wife of his, hairdo on a regular basis, fancy clothes and always out at some club or other with her mates. And as for those kids, you’d just better believe it. The older ones at twelve doing drugs and most of the rest truanting. With hair cropped down to the bone they’ll all be on the Jeremy Kyle Show sooner or later.

Yes we know where all the money’s coming from. It’s out of the taxes we pay. It’s you and me who pay for their lifestyle. Sun or Daily Star… that’s the sort of people they are and just about everywhere with it.

Just imagine Essex and Kent getting up every morning on the commute and getting a regular front page eyeful of those benefits scroungers. Brought to them by the Mail and the Express. The people who really know how rotten Westminster politics are with all those expenses cheats, soft touch do-gooders and gays running the show. Whereas the likes of us have to get up and take the train into work every morning them and those benefits cheats get away with blue murder. The Labour Party? You’ve got to be kidding! And as for the Tories they’re all lefty these days in with those fucking Liberal Democrats. Yeah, they’re all the same, those benefit friendly creeps at Westminster. If they’re not covering up some paedophile scandal or other they’re either doling it out to the idle stay at homes or topping up the wages of millions. And it’s all out of our taxes!

You can’t hear it but it’s buzzing around in their heads like a stirred up nest of bees! It’s all coming out of our taxes to pay for that bastard on the front page and his slag of a wife to have another half dozen on benefits!

Maybe that’s why so many of them will soon put their cross against UKIP! Maybe, but one thing they won’t do is think about why these ten and twenty kids families come up in the Mail or the Express. Won’t wonder whether they’re being cherry picked for a purpose and maybe that these large families are one in a hundred thousand and they’re deliberately put there to get you into an unjustified lather. That without knowing it their misfortune and lifestyle are part of a political game that you’re being roped into so easily. That of misplaced envy and wrath. If you thought about it for two minutes instead of letting your emotions run off the charts you’d know against whom your anger should really be placed.

The question I’m asking here is who are the real benefits cheats? Who are the really serious, serial big time scroungers? Well I’ll tell you. The people with big families or those who are genuinely needy are small time players in a far bigger far dirtier game. We suffer from two major economic problems in our society. British workers are among the lowest paid in Europe thanks to Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and New Labour. Thirteen years in power and they never bothered to make sure that working people in this country were paid A LIVING WAGE. Secondly, tax avoidance by big companies and multinationals that operate here but are registered in tax reduction havens like Luxembourg is rife. Countless big name businesses earning outsize chunks of money in the UK pay ultra low levels of tax elsewhere. The usual thing we hear from these people is that they contribute to the British economy by employing large numbers of workers and if they had to pay them more they’d up sticks and go where labour is cheap like East Europe. We’ve heard all this blackmail from business before. Actually it’s those cheap labour British workers that make them their profits most of which are of little benefit to the economy because they can’t be taxed.  

Our British tax regime is purposefully filled with countless loopholes which makes tax avoidance easy. Businessmen, firstly say thank you Gordon Brown and New Labour; and then to Coalition partners, Scarecrow Vince Cable and Bullingdon Boy George Osborne for keeping it that way!

SO WHO IS IT THAT GETS THE BENEFIT FROM SUCH A SEE NO EVIL AT BEST TAX REGIME operated by the Inland Revenue? And I’m talking billions in Euro and Sterling here, not just a few million in salary top ups or social welfare benefits. Billions in corporate revenue that’s kept out the tax loop by clever accountants who play mister fix it for some of the world’s biggest earners. No, I’m not talking about the underclass wonder who’s production line makes front page on the rags whenever it’s time to whip up lower middle class bile but the high-tech internet money machines so beloved of that techie legion of latter day nerds. The kind of people who sit on their bums pressing buttons rather than roll liquid metal out of a steel mill to make things! And let it be said, tax avoidance technology is a serious and lucrative business. Price Waterhouse, major league players in accountancy have, according to a Report from a House of Commons Committee chaired by the indefatigable Margaret Hodge, been active in a serial capacity for helping many big corporations relocate their head offices to countries like Luxembourg whose tax regime saves them serious sums of money that otherwise might have found its way into the British Exchequer.

And if you think that’s bad, wait for it! Really nice guys these accountants. Really go out of their way to help people, I mean the right sort of people like Labour Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls and Shadow Business Secretary Chuka Umunna who together have received half a million in ‘research aid’ from the said firm. No such ‘research aid’ of course for mister nineteen kids on the front page of the Mail. You’ve got to be a top Labour politician to get that kind of money!

Mega tax avoidance activity by business and in not a few cases, businesses failing to pay workers even the statutory Minimum Wage. Furthermore no payment of a Living Wage for millions who need to top up their pay with benefits. Indeed if companies paid their employees a Living Wage then those employees wouldn’t need to apply for those benefits.

So actually who is it who’s getting the REAL benefits here? I MEAN THE BIG TIME BENEFITS? In other words who are the REAL benefits scroungers? Is it working people and the unemployed, or is it big business, those who pay a small fraction in the pound tax?

You don’t need much imagination to get the real picture. Just think for a moment and you’ll know who the real scroungers are! And the point I’m making is this. Who is it that our Government really cares about? Is it students whose finances are done to death for years having to take out loans to pay for huge tuition fees, a debt collectable by private companies to whom the Government has sold off their loans soon as they’ve finished their studies and got jobs? Is it the millions of working men and women whose employers don’t even pay them enough to live on while themselves getting away with daylight robbery paying seriously reduced levels of tax. Quite frankly, under both so called New Labour Government and the Tory-Liberal Democrat Coalition this country is more like a South American Banana Republic than a modern Western  European society. With the Tories it’s understandable. But with Labour? The Party’s policies today are a complete and shameful betrayal of everything it once stood for.  

Yes we all know who the real benefit scroungers are. So what is tax avoidance really if it isn’t actually theft? Legal theft that is. Oh so very legal!

 

LABOUR MONKEYS

In recent days we’ve seen the entry into pre-election politics of three former political stalwarts from a time of previous Labour Government… Peter Mandelson, Lord Levy and Tony Blair. You remember that last Labour Government don’t you? Dark Gordon Brown with a permanent scowl on his face always sucking in the cheeks on his ugly mug. And then the time of Tony Blair and Jack Straw before him. Thirteen long years during which Labour did nothing for the working people of Britain while making life splendid for bankers and businessmen, Russian millionaires living in London and expenses thieving politicians getting away with blue murder and swimming in loot at Westminster. Yes you remember them don’t you! Well two of them who’ve recently slimed their way into daylight are Peter Mandelson, otherwise known as Mandy, and Tony Blair’s political fundraiser Little Lord Levy. Both very important to Labour because of their contacts with big business on behalf of whom they’ve just opened their mouths.

Looked at sanely for a moment what on earth have either men got to do with working people and socialism in the first place. Neither have ever done a day’s hard work themselves or had any genuine heartfelt desire to create social equality in Britain. I mean, put Lord Levy to work in a steel foundry or collecting rubbish on a dust cart and he wouldn’t last two minutes, and the same goes for Mandelson, a long time Party officianado and member of the champagne socialist circle. A political sprog with historical roots in Labour Party aristocracy, his mother being the daughter of Herbert Morrison, Home Secretary in Clement Atlee’s Labour Government 1945-1951. Now there’s pedigree for you! In the 1980’s he became a political confidant and bosom pal of big cheese reformist figure in the Labour Party, Tony Blair. Like peas out of the same pod both men were determined to change the Party’s policies in order to make it more acceptable to the lower class vote and a mass media led by diehard Thatcherite Rupert Murdoch. This they believed would make it electable after all the long years of Thatcher and Major. Their reformist views meant ditching Labour’s old style socialist values and belief in social equality and justice and in this they succeeded. Under their guidance the Party changed direction, loosening its historical ties with the Trades Union Movement and turning instead towards business.

Peter Mandelson, a social democrat if anything, played a key role in the process for which he was rewarded with the job of Business Secretary by Blair in the first New Labour Government. Think of those words, New Labour Government! They’re actually what they say! New Labour… nothing to do with the old. In a sense the great electoral landslide voters gave them in 1997 was a bit of a fraud because if they really wanted genuine change after Thatcher and a happier easier society, they weren’t going to get it. No reform of her anti-trades union legislation; no reform of a rotten and corrupt criminal justice system and no putting controls on an out of control police service. It’s difficult to figure out what Tony Blair’s first New Labour Government actually did for the working people of this country except to say that Mandelson was its key link with business which virtually did what it liked during this time.

A key indicator of this was the steady and unfailing support for the Blair government from business, from the Murdoch media empire and Sun newspaper in particular! The labour movement however was not entirely amused, particularly the trades unions which had always acted as financial backers for the Party and were still generously handing them large sums of money. However dissent was in the air with the unions becoming increasingly unhappy with Labour’s new bedfellows. Blair however, with his nose finely tuned, was alert to potential union pressure. Its financial support for the Party might compromise his intentions. An alternative source of funding was urgently needed. Well business was full of adroit friendly types ever-ready to sniff out an opportunity. All he needed was a way in and who better than a friendly insider. Enter closet champagne socialist Levy to help round up some business friendlies and soon it was Lord Levy no other!

Today both men are once again busy, selling a Milipede Labour Government after May’s General Election as business friendly. In short, assuring business that any future Labour Government will betray the working people who voted for them. That’s why both are being currently featured so regularly and prominently in the press. Peter Mandelson, who everyone thought was dead as he hadn’t been heard of in donkeys years suddenly appears out of the mist and pompously proclaims on the future direction of his old Party. And Little Lord Levy? It’s like someone presses a lever and up he pops like a jack-in-the box out of his current residence in Israel where he’s been busy on behalf of his old political master Tony Blair, currently EU representative in that country, and assures British business that they can rely on the Milipede to be business friendly if Labour wins the coming General Election.

Forget about working people… Forget about fairness and social justice… Forget about campaigning for a Living Wage… These political creeps are out on the town promising the tax avoiders, promising employers who don’t even pay the Minimum Wage, promising the companies and banks who cheat the hard working people of Britain out of billions that they’ll be alright under Labour!

Don’t you feel just a trifle disgusted?

HSBC :  THE BANK THAT DOES NAUGHTY THINGS!

You’ve heard of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation haven’t you. Well if you’ve forgotten that recent scandal when they were caught with their hands in the drugs tin then your memory must be a bit thin! Don’t tell me you can’t remember reading about their lucrative activities in the laundry business? Idiot! I’m not talking about sheets and pillowcases! I’m referring to the time when they were caught hoovering huge sums of money for South American drugs cartels into their banks on the American continent. The papers were full of it. All those good people who ran HSBC swearing on their mothers lives that nothing so awful would ever happen again. In the immortal words of Tom Sawyer, may they drop down dead and rot!

Yes, cross their hearts and hope to die, HSBC was now going to be an ethical bank! A caring bank for its customers! It would support all kinds of good causes like promoting clean well managed nursing homes for aging black widow spiders, set up a charity for past England team football managers, and more recently promised to organise a charity race for Liberal Democrat MPs made homeless and unemployed after May’s general election. Yes, HSBC would promote a whole new set of humanitarian values! Be the bank that everyone in the Green Party would go to and that every one of its branches would have a little bowl of water just inside its entrance doors for customers’ dogs to refresh themselves with and a mat they could piss on just behind the Customer Services Desk.

Now that would show the world wouldn’t it. HSBC, the ethical, caring bank. But instead, horror of horrors, what do we find? Documents made public by a whistleblower eight years ago have suddenly caught the eye of the BBC and with it the British Government. Oh goodness gracious me! Well fancy that, they set up their own private bank in Switzerland! Where? Did someone say Switzerland! That disgusting country without  morals or values that doesn’t give a fuck about anything except making money without asking too many  questions, even if it’s gold teeth yanked out of the mouths of dead Jews in the Nazi Death Camps and melted down into bars. Well the bank was very private you see. The kind that no-one knew anything about and no-one could use except their very best friends. Special invitation only in fact.

The main thing was not telling anybody who those special friends were! That they could all stash away   billions of dollars or euros in safes or extra big boxes AND NOBODY WOULD ASK WHERE IT CAME FROM. THAT WAS THE IMPORTANT THING REALLY. WHEREVER IT CAME FROM AND HOWEVER THE PEOPLE LEAVING IT THERE GOT THEIR HANDS ON IT WAS STRICTLY PRIVATE. HSBC CERTAINLY WOULDN’T ASK ANY QUESTIONS! AND FURTHERMORE THE RATES OF INTEREST WERE GOOD.

I mean, very much better than HSBC paid its depositors in Britain or anywhere else. Yes, we know you’re a deserving Old Age Pensioner and we’d like to pay you ONE PERCENT on your deposit but unfortunately we can’t… Our hands are tied. We’re controlled by the Bank of England Base Rate!

Just the same kind of verbal tosh that banks dish out to all their High Street Customers these days. Same old shit for the High Street Customers but special rates for countless deposits many of which are undoubtedly illegally earned or money simply stolen and deposited in the Swiss HSBC vaults to avoid any tax liability! That’s the main thing. Sitting unknown in the private bank with no outside access by anyone, the money isn’t liable for taxation.

No questions asked where it came from. No questions asked about how long it will be there. It’s private and hidden. Could be Mafia. Could be drugs cartels. Could be stolen art loot. Could be the proceeds of church collections over the last fifty years. Could be Arab oil money. Whoever it belongs to, it’s not you and me. It’s just there at HSBC in Switzerland. Like some foreign country hidden away under the pavement! HSBC, the ethical bank that promised never to do anything wrong ever again. And guess what, not so far back David Cameron recommended a knighthood for its chairman, a gentleman who now sits on the Tory benches in the House of Lords even though this fascinating piece of HSBC naughtiness was well known at the time!

So what do you propose doing about it David, or is it okay to have one of your friends formerly in the banking business playing pokey with the tax authorities? But then it’s all okay now you see because HSBC has just said that it doesn’t do that kind of thing anymore. Well that’s okay then. A bit like the drugs money laundering scandal that they’re definitely not doing anymore so they’ve said! But then there’s that list from the whistleblower with thousands of names on it. Seven thousand at least from David Cameron’s upper crust Britain. In fact it is now believed that their clients in Switzerland numbered 100,000 people from 12 different countries all of whom they helped avoid paying tax and could potentially be named and shamed as tax dodgers.

Jammy dodgers in fact because the Tories and their Liberal Democrat friends in Coalition have no intention of letting anyone know who the names are. Only one out the thousands of Brits on the list has so far been prosecuted and almost certainly no more ever will, but just think of the political consequences of such a scandal so close to the May General Election! Goodness Gracious, some of the rascals might even turn out to be major contributors to the Conservative Party’s election fund!

But in Parliament right now everyone’s accusing everyone else for letting it happen. True it began during the time of Dark Gordon but Cameron and his Clods have known about the List of HSBC Rascals for five years or more and done nothing about it? Well, they’d say that they’d put it all in the hands of the Revenue, our very own tax authorities, so that’ll be alright then, JOKE- JOKE!

As for myself I’d like to think that they’re really very nice people over at HSBC. People who only wanted to help others and just got led astray for a while and should be forgiven. It’s not easy earning money these days you know so if any of you out there can think of a way of helping banks like these make loads of money in their time of need perhaps you should give HSBC a call and offer your services. You could even tell them that you’re some big noise in the Labour Party who specializes in business matters!

 

THE MISSING MALAYSIAN AIRCRAFT : FINALLY WRITTEN OFF AS LOST

In the last week the Government of Malaysia has made an official statement saying that the Boeing aircraft that went missing in March is officially lost. All the searches in areas where it was supposed to have disappeared have found nothing so the 160 men, women and children have been written off as dead. Gone without trace. It’s really no surprise that all those searches in the southern Indian Ocean and close to Australia have discovered nothing but it’s as I predicted in my post of 4^th April 2014.  From now on there’ll be no more looking. The whole tragedy written off and the incident now officially under the carpet which governments and authorities all over the place hope will finally bring the matter to an end once and for all. Incident sadly, so sadly closed!

Shame that all those searches were made in the wrong place, but then as I pointed out in my Post of 4^th April 2014   THE LOST MALAYSIAN AIRCRAFT :  A SERIOUSLY STINKING COVER UP  … it really had to be that way because finding the aircraft and recovering the black box and fight data might reveal all kinds of nasty truths, primarily that the aircraft and its passengers were the victims of an Iranian hijack and that it came down exactly where I said it did, or rather where it was seen coming down on fire by New Zealand oil rig worker Michael Jerome McKay. Here again is the email he sent the Malaysian Government giving the precise Latitude and Longitude of his sighting.

 

 

To date no-one’s seen any official acknowledgement from the Malaysian Government confirming that they’ve received the email and perhaps even more interesting, no comment whatsoever from any of the Governments involved in the search whether British, Australian, Malaysian or the United States about such crucial eyewitness evidence on the very day the plane disappeared.

No comment from the political authorities and no coverage in any of the news media of these countries. It’s a kind of blanket turning of a blind eye to a potentially crucial piece of evidence and all one can ask is why? Why such a total disregard of the only eyewitness evidence on the very day of the disaster? As I said before, the whole thing stinks of a serious cover up. A blanket news manipulation and disappearance act that rivals the tragedy itself that was instigated by the Obama Administration and supported by his allies to hide Iranian complicity, and precisely at a time when he made rapprochement with the regime part of his new political strategy. Forget that Iran is still one of the main instigators and supporters of international terrorism and that its leaders officially deny the Holocaust, the Obama Administration is determined to develop friendly ties and things like the hijacking of aircraft or the blowing up of Jewish Community centres by its agents have to be put to side for the sake of much bigger things, like helping America get back into Iran!

DAVID CAMERON THROWS A PARTY

In the last few days the Prime Minister threw a ball, well actually a party for wealthy friends of the Conservative Party, but because everyone dressed up, especially the ladies, and everyone was introduced to everyone else who they already knew anyway, and there was a buffet with posh canapes and champagne all over the place and people were talking with very Berkshire accents and there was dancing, the papers are referring to it as a ball. A kind of Tory upper crust society get together..

Now the only purpose of organising such things and carefully making sure all the right names are on the guest list is MONEY. An invite to a Tory election fund raising bash is special. I mean do you think that Cameron’s pencil sharpening staff at Downing Street went looking in doorways down Charing Cross Road or checked under Waterloo Bridge? Please! We’re talking guys in dinner suits here with businesses registered offshore and accountants pally with the Inland Revenue. People who’ve got the police in their pockets when it comes to dealing with a strike at the factory. No, this was a get together for Tory boys and girls with serious money in some bank or other somewhere.

And the object of all of this agreeable socializing? Well it certainly wasn’t a Mafia style shakedown. The party establishment doesn’t do things that way anymore! Obtaining financial support for the Conservative Party before a General Election is much more genteel. You might want to call it coaxing rather than squeezing. On the contrary this is a very establishment ritual and we see in the news media that certain blandishments have been on offer. No I’m not talking about suave teenage tarts that some of the older daddies pick up at the posh nightclubs and pay for on tax scams. These offerings are strictly political or more like strictly for the consumption of those who actually believe that this is what Cameron and his chums in Tory Bash Street are offering donors. Like for example, a shopping trip with Teresa May looking for lace knickers down Regent Street or tea and biscuits with Michael Gove or some other wretched type contact with creepos like Ian Duncan Smith. Quite frankly such offerings are more likely to scare the pants off any self-respecting City of London banker than anything.

In truth they’re handed out by the Tory Press Office for public consumption. You know a weekend’s pheasant shoot for fifty grand with country houses and men in tweed knickerbockers thrown in. The kind of traditional images that everyone associates with Tories. Well forget it! The people who go to these parties aren’t there for that kind of shit. Do you honestly think that Cameron and his organising cronies raised three million quid in one night for the Conservative Party’s election campaign by offering up a chat with some party political turd or even chubby cheeks Cameron himself? Please, spare me your staggering naivete. We’re talking men and women here who’ve been fucking over the Inland Revenue for donkeys years, have a direct phone line to the police, send their children to Oxford or Cambridge and have millionaire friends just about everywhere. So why do you think they’ve been invited to David Cameron’s little bash? Yes of course they’ll be donating money to the election campaign but was it just that? Were they there just to hand it all out and if so what on earth do you think these people are, charity campaigners? Let’s get it straight. IF THEY DO GIVE ANYTHING THEY SURE AS HELL WANT A WHOLE LOT MORE BACK. The Conservative Party believes in the same things that they do so in a way they see it as their very own kind of charity! A charity in reverse. An organisation that does things FOR THEM! That’s the truth of it really. They’ll donate money to get the kind of Government they want that will do the kinds of things that they want. Things that are good for them. A Government that will act as their very own charity and turn a blind eye to everything they do that’s in any way naughty.

Let’s not put too much of a gloss on it all. If they can donate large sums of money to the Tory election campaign it might have been money they’d saved by not paying it in tax. Now that’s really smart thinking. Save paying tax to the Exchequer who’ll only squander it in benefits to those who earn jack! The important thing is being free to give it to whoever we like and yes, we choose to give it to the Conservative Party hoping it will help them win the election so they’ll let us do what we like all over again.

What an absolute joy it must be to know that they’ve got him and his Government in their pocket, and with all that free champagne thrown in too. And yes, of course, don’t forget the knighthood or peerage that gets chucked every time it’s her majesties birthday.

BARAK OBAMA AND THE HOLOCAUST

In the last year there have been a whole number of signals coming out of the White House indicating the attitude of President Barak Obama towards the State of Israel and the Jewish people in general. What could always be counted on in the past as friendliness and support from the leader of United States Government has now turned positively sour if not downright hostile, and I do not refer here simply to Israel. In recent weeks the signs have been only too self-evident. Firstly the failure of Obama or any senior member of his Administration to attend the recent great international solidarity demonstration and march of world leaders in Paris in a show of support for the victims of the Charlie Hebdo massacre of journalists by Islamic extremists and the murder that followed of four Jews shopping in a nearby kosher supermarket. Most political leaders of the Western world were there but Barak Obama and the head of his State Department were conspicuously absent. Perhaps they didn’t want to be seen anywhere near the Prime Minister of Israel in the front row. Secondly and altogether more damning was the failure of anyone from Obama’s Administration to attend the 70^th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony of the Liberation of the Auschwitz Death Camp in January 1945 held on the site in Poland and attended by large numbers of survivors along with many of the world’s political leaders.

Barak Obama wasn’t there and neither was any senior member of his Administration. So where then was the so called leader of the western world? Well on the day in question he had a far more important matter to attend to than being present to commemorate a key anniversary date relating to the mass murder of Jewish people in Europe. Instead he and the First Lady, debonair and smiling were descending the steps of Air Force One onto Saudi Arabia to attend the funeral of its recently deceased monarch and ruler. Forget the great humanitarian Commemoration at the killing ground Concentration Camp in Poland. The President and his wife were in Saudi Arabia to pay their respects and mourn for the loss of its king!

Let’s consider the situation. 1941-1945, the occupation of Poland by Nazi Germany and the setting up in that country of a whole number of killing grounds for the automated mass murder of millions of European Jews the chief of which was Auschwitz –Birkenau. There, between those dates, millions of people were beaten, tortured, hung, mutilated, whipped, dehumanized, raped, shot or gassed. You name it. The majority of the victims were Jews including hundreds of thousands of children. It was the scene of the greatest crime in world history but the truth was that the Holocaust of the Jews started much earlier, in fact from the minute that Hitler and the Nazis came to power in 1933 and soon after set up the Dachau Concentration Camp. There thousands of Jews were beaten, tortured, humiliated and murdered and the process continued for the Jews of Germany and Austria in the following years with a whole raft of vile anti-Semitic legislation that took away most of their rights. In Vienna, after the Nazi takeover that was welcomed by millions, Jews were publically forced to scrub the streets on their knees and attacked and humiliated in countless ways. In 1938 many thousands were murdered throughout Germany and their businesses and homes destroyed during the infamous night of smashed glass during which most of their synagogues were desecrated.

Let’s further be clear. This persecution and murder of the Jews that began in the early 1930’s was well known to the Governments of Britain and the United States and the media of those nations. After all, the Daily Mail Newspaper was a keen supporter of Hitler and the Nazis! Yet despite extensive official requests and pleas they steadfastly refused to allow any sizeable entry or immigration of these persecuted people throughout this entire period. So what numbers are we talking about here? Maybe three hundred, four hundred thousand at most into Britain and the United States. Entry refused by American President Roosevelt and Prime Ministers who included Winston Churchill. Only later towards the end of the decade were a few thousand admitted most of whom were regarded as German aliens, some even being sent to barbed wire camps in the deserts of Australia… that’s the truth.

So before the actual mass murder kicked off in Poland in 1942 the Governments of Britain and America were already turning their backs on the Jewish people and along with it a blind eye to their persecution. As for the Death Camps in Poland they were made aware of the truth as early as 1943 but steadfastly refused to acknowledge it. However, most appalling of all, the main Death Camps for Jews, Auschwitz-Birkenau and Treblinka were within range of British and American bombers from early 1944 but the Governments of both countries refused to attack and destroy these camps. It was argued that they were bombing sites with no military value and would divert the War effort besides which, any such attacks might also kill many of their inmates! With such a decision the War leaders of both nations have the deaths of millions of Jews on their conscience.

Okay, so nobody important cared about the fate of Europe’s Jews at the time. With that in mind let’s take a look at Saudi Arabia. It’s a country that’s been ruled by one family since 1924. It has no Parliament, no political parties or independent media. Its judicial system is strictly Islamic. Punishment for anything deemed a crime is often stoning culprits to death, amputating their limbs for minor offences such as stealing a loaf of bread, and beheading for others. All such punishments being conducted in public. And of course there’s the frequently used whipping or lashing. Recently a journalist who published a blog deemed to be critical of Islam was sentenced to 1000 lashes, part of his sentence being carried out just before the President arrived!

Presumably neither he nor that other strong and erstwhile supporter of the Saudi regime, British Prime Minister David Cameron, were invited to meet the man during their attendance of the funeral ceremony! However when one thinks of whipping and lashing, of beheading, amputation and torture one might also be reminded of the Auschwitz Death Camp. And when one thinks of the attendance of President Obama and Prime Minister Cameron at the funeral in Saudi Arabia of a ruler who permitted such atrocities and human rights violations AND THOUGHT IT MORE IMPORTANT TO BE THERE THAN AT THE COMMEMORATION CEREMONY IN POLAND TO MARK THE 70^th NNIVERSARY OF THE LIBERATION OF THE AUSCHWITZ DEATH CAMP then I can but wonder about the attitude of both men towards the State of Israel and Jews in general. Their conduct was both an insult to the murdered and an insult to the survivors who attended.      

The focus of the Obama Administration Middle East policy has strategically shifted away from any support for Israel, formerly a friend, towards the current two main economic players in the region, Saudi Arabia and Iran, and why not? Both are fabulously oil rich, their territories are strategically centered and have much to offer in terms of international trade. Israel has little to nothing. Supporting its security and right to exist as a Jewish State is more a matter of conscience than anything and quite frankly such a thing isn’t worth a plugged nickel where the strategic economic interests of the United States and Europe are concerned. It’s only the political activity of America’s Jewish population that maintains even the smallest vestige of interest by America’s political administration in Israel and without it they wouldn’t give a diddly squat so when you evaluate the Holocaust against paying your respects on the death of a serious strategic partner there’s only one winner. Forget that he ruled the country like a tyrant! Forget that the place is a modern hell hole with few human rights. It behaves like a friend whereas Israel won’t do as it’s told anymore and give up much of its territory to Islamic terrorists determined to destroy it with political backing from countries like Britain.

Of course, as David Cameron knows only too well, same as Tony Blair’s Government before him, Saudi Arabia has been the main financial supporter and benefactor of Muslim immigration into Western Europe in recent decades, contributing extensively to the building of mosques and Islamic community centres as well as paying for their upkeep; such activity also extending to the United States, Canada and Australia. Indeed the influence of Saudi Arabia in the social and economic affairs of many countries runs deep and the wealth of the ruling family elite through oil revenues has given it considerable leverage. The visit of the Obamas is a fair indication but let’s not forget the affable friendship of Charles, future British monarch, about to embark on yet another visit there shortly. That said, this man of conscience and scruples attended the recent Auschwitz Commemoration Ceremony in London and has always been a friend to the Jewish people of Britain.

Barak Obama however is a very different kettle of fish. He felt slighted by the intransigence of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu when the man wouldn’t go along with his heartfelt determination to resolve the Israel-Palestinian conflict by handing over a fair and strategic part of the Jewish State including much of Jerusalem to its enemies, the terrorists who control the West Bank of Jordan and Gaza. It didn’t matter of course that Israel itself unilaterally gave the Gaza strip to the Palestinians only to have thousands of rockets fired at them from that territory in return! And of course it didn’t matter that the official policy of Palestinian political leadership calls for the annihilation of Israel. That’s quite okay! What counted was the refusal of Israel’s Prime Minister to give him an undertaking that no more Jewish settlements would be built to protect the heartland of Israel prior to handing so much territory over to a bunch of Arab gangsters and terrorists. That was Jewish defiance and Obama, who likes to think of himself as a great humanitarian, felt slighted. Who did this little upstart of a country the size of a Big Mac think it was? Israel and all the shit he was getting from American Jewry was more trouble than it was worth. Fuck the whole lot of them, he was going Iranian and Iran of course, would be a serious strategic investment and prize if it could be politically levered away from the Russians!

Forget about Iran’s fundamental Islamic political leaders denying that the Holocaust ever happened. That never stopped Labour’s Jack Straw going over there and getting friendly time back. The Holocaust was one thing and America’s strategic interests were another and he, Barak Obama, was President of the United States and speaking for all of America! Israel and the Jews were only bit players in a much bigger game. Actually, looked at strictly from that point of view he’s right. The story and future of the world’s 12 million Jews set against the aspirations and concerns of 6 or 8 billion people all over the planet is a no brainer. Being realistic, conscience and humanity have to take their place on the back burner if you’re the world’s leading nation, America having much bigger fish to fry than get itself eternally involved with a handful of irritants! It brings me back to one hard consideration. The Jewish people of this world now have nobody to help them except themselves, and of course a big handful of friends with a conscience who love them as spirited, talented, dynamic and moral people. They have no friends and when the chips were down throughout history they never had. They are their own best means of survival. They’d better know it and better live with it and hold out a hand of friendship from strength to the peoples of nations, not their leaders.

The modern State of Israel exists in very large part because of the Holocaust. Toward the end of the 1940s the Government of the United States helped support its creation. Not so the British! Its control of the territory was colonial. A Mandate to govern Palestine derived out of victors’ spoils from the First World War. When the Second World War ended, tens of thousands of desperate, starving and sick Jewish survivors from the Concentration and Death Camps, again refused entry into Britain and the United States and having no homes to go back to anywhere in Europe turned their eyes to their ancient precious promised land that as yet didn’t exist as a State. As yet modern Israel hadn’t been born!

So how did the British Government deal with these countless desperate survivors of the Nazi horror who sought to get into Palestine mainly by sea? Well they blockaded the ports and the Royal Navy boarded and took over their ships. And what do you think the British Government did then? Well both ships and their refugee passengers were transported to Cyprus where what was left of the living were locked up for months on end in barbed wire camps SOMEWHAT SIMILAR TO THOSE IN GERMANY AND POLAND THEY’D JUST COME OUT OF but without the murder machinery, and there those people were left to rot until they were finally transferred out to care and rehabilitation in that promised land by their own fellow Jews and their agencies who were waiting for them. No-one else. And there not so long after some of them fought for the existence of Israel in a War of Independence.

THEY SURVIVED THE CAMPS, CAME OUT OF THEM AND FOUGHT.

So when you failed to attend the 70^th Anniversary Ceremony marking the Liberation of Auschwitz Prime Minister Cameron and President Obama and think it more important on the day to do homage to a dead tyrant please be absolutely sure that all those Jews who survived the Nazi Death Camps know in their hearts exactly what kind of people you are and when you talk about taking their Jewish State away from them and handing a large part of it over to a gang of thugs, trust me, they know where you’re coming from.
